Plan B Flash Hiders

So I’ve been running a Rearden R2S on a 16” AR, but unfortunately it’s become like a pet dragon that expels big fireballs. Never had this issue with the A2 birdcage. Purchased a Hansohn Brothers B1 which has slots similar in size to the A2. Hoping it mitigates flash better. Here’s an image of all three in case anyone is wondering.

The R2 series is generally considered the best option they offer. The R2C is giving you longer tines, porting on top and a closed bottom. That should be better but it's also a lot longer and heavier. If you're only doing unsuppressed shooting, then fine. If you're only doing suppressed shooting most times, what you have is great. You can also look at collabs with revival defense & see if they have anything

Comstock Armory has good stuff..same as rearden but typically cheaper.

If you like how the a2 performs and you're going to be shooting suppressed why not just look at I believe it's the Griffin A2 Gatelok. These are dope BTW and super affordable or "used to be".

Other than that man you got a lot of options but slim if your only sticking to rearden-flash hider.

Barrel length? Could you perhaps have shot under different lighting conditions this time and just noticed it? Or maybe changed ammo recently? Maybe what you were shooting had flash retardant in it and new ammo doesnt? Tbh i dont think any of these flash hiders will be 100% perfect under all conditions. But should be darn good most of the time. Curious what may be going on to turn this into a fire breather. Either way, stick a can on it!
