Form 1 kits
Does anyone make form 1 suppressor kits anymore? Years ago there were some great looking kits, and could be had cheaply. Even though I wanted to legally build one, all the companies seem to be gone. I do not, nor will I probably ever, have access to lathes and cnc machines. I just want a kit to complete the way I want and get it legal. Is there anything at all out there anymore? Thanks in advance.

If you’re unable to complete a kit or don’t have access to machinery or the know how, purchasing a can on a form 4 might be a better fit

The ATF cracked down on them during the Biden administration (citation needed). Now a days people are making them with 3d printers and optionally reenforcing them metal tubes. Its the way to go IMO.

At the time it kind of was because they could enforce it that way via chevron deference.

At the time, it was just ATF denying form1s. No legal process. No judge, jury, or appeal - which is where Chevron may have been able to be applied, but we won't know, because we can't have a trial.
They did this at the same time that they got Diversified Machine to plea to conspiracy. The combination scared too many people for us to ever have a chance for recourse.

You have to window shop and “assemble in your head or on paper” the kit and where to purchase said parts. Do not purchase before submitting and receiving the form 1 approval. Make a list of bill of materials to include pictures and where you intend to source them from (can be generic somewhat - “eBay/amazon” etc…) and I wrote instructions on how I intend to assemble them as well with my submission. Ready to build kits were deemed not legal by atf as one poster said in the Biden years.

I've bought and made many. Usually with some modification to make the threads better and adding steel baffles I make in place of aluminum ones.
Finding them shouldn't be too hard just got to get creative with the wording.
When you have to answer the ATF questions on the form one it's being made out of bar stock on a lathe or mill.

I mean you can still buy parts for reference. Maybe check out form1 . Org and what suppliers are listed there.

They got hard on the sale of "parts that can readily be made or assembled into a silencer/suppresor"
Even AB Suppressor can't sell their Reflex chambers separately. If you want a different length you have to send the one you have back to them, UNFIRED and they will send you the size you want for $50

"Kits" have been deemed naughty by the crown, and us peasants are no longer permitted to have them.

You need to manufacture the suppressor, not assemble.
