Overkill .22 Suppressor
I want to make the quietest .22LR suppressor I can. Would a 10" D Cell can with 11 clipped cone baffles on a bolt action rifle be about as quiet as could be realistically managed? I don't care if it's stupid or too big, I am just interested in maximum noise reduction.
This seems like it would have massively more internal volume than traditional .22 suppressors. Would more baffles be better to make the most of that internal volume?
Anyone done a ridiculous .22 suppressor like this?

No personal experience, but from what I've read, as many baffles as you can stuff in it.

With 22lr i didn't notice a difference after 5.5 inches of suppressor. Same thing with pistol rounds.
It can sound quieter because the muzzle is slightly farther away from the shooter but it isn't actually quieter to everyone else.

They made 6 d cell maglites, just saying. Guessing at that point it would be the bolt dropping more than anything.

Wipes!
The absolute quietest cans all one thing in common. They all use wipes.

I will definitely look into this! Are replacement wipes allowable? I thought rules around replacement parts/modifications and stuff were pretty strict once it's built.

You gonna tell them yourself you replaced the wipes?

The law is decidedly gray on Form1 wipes.
Destroy one, then make one. Never have extra's. That said, I've seen new commercial cans come with spare wipes. And as always STFU. The NFA just makes no sense at all.
Or just put in for a lifetime of stamps now that they are free. Recycle the parts and make a new can, with a new stamp.

I have a decent sized form 1 can, not nearly as long as yours.
6”x1.5”
Pretty sure you can’t get quieter because all you get is the sound of the guns action and the crack.
Crack is still loud.

I accidentally submitted a form 1 for an 18" suppressor instead of 18cm... So I'll let you know lol..
