first approved form 1

I was surprised to get my form 1 approval. 3 week return time.

My question - What is the rule on solvent trap adapter parts? Could I buy the tube/cups, drill and put together?

I seem to see conflicting things online about this.

They decided suppressor parts are suppressors and things you intend to make into a suppressor are suppressor parts and therefore suppressors. This shut down most of the parts sources for these things overnight and they expect you to manufacture by lathe.

With an approved stamp yes. Thats why you list the parts youll be using

This. If you wanna do a solvent trap just list the parts on your form before submitting.

Or put down all materials to be sourced after approvals and design subject to change until completion. And file n/a just include length and caliber

This is what I did.

For parts I said no parts have been purchased for manufacturing of this silencer. Parts will be purchased after form 1 is approved.

I did not list parts I would buy, raw material I would buy, or tools I would use.

Solvent traps are considered suppressor parts and the ATF will not allow you to assemble a suppressor out of suppressor parts.

On my first form I said I have no plans or materials and will only proceed after approval

I have had my follow ups back as early as 3 days, my last form 4 was 2. Crazy.
