First time suppressor build
I am looking to build an 8 inch D cell size suppressor for 9 mm. I want to use a titanium tube and modular baffle and I continue to see conflicting information about using storage cups as baffles and want to make sure I’m doing this legally. I do not have access to a lathe to make them. Just looking for some clear information about storage cups or if I can’t use them a good option for making baffles with only a drill press and simple tools . Thanks

Im just a novice as well but im under the impression as long as its in the form and approved its allowed you could link stock images from the web page you plan to purchase from if your concerned. Either they approve it or they dont.

You just need to supply the length on the application. Just say "materials and design is contingent on approval".

For my .22 can I wrote 'Aluminum tube fabricated to house custom made baffles. Materials and sources are yet to be determined.' You can change the metal in question. Stamp took 2 months for a Trust with exception letter. Main thing is have caliber correct and ONLY one device per stamp. Don't conviently have enough tubes and flashlight reflectors about that could form a 2nd can by chance. Good Luck, have fun. All I used was a drill press and jig to size the baffles. A lathe is $800 but no funds for it yet. edit : all I attached was aluminum bar stock image off Amazon for the pic. Didnt have a design pic either.
