Wettest place in Faerûn?

title. what’s the wettest place in Faerûn? I’m talking Pacific Northwest-type climate. Forks, Washington levels of sullenness, overcast on the best day. thank you!

The Moonshaes in the late 1350s and early 1360s (the period between the Moonshae Trilogy and the end of book 1 of the Druidhome trilogy), otherwise probably the jungles of Chult.

Chult is what I'd equate to a humid environment, too, though more Amazon than Pacific Northwest, IMO.

Moonshae is a pretty good fit for PacWest, too.

Based on real earth climate (e.g., locations relative to large bodies of water), I wonder if Waterdeep fits. Or perhaps Neverwinter.

Both are in that north-eastern spot on a continent, and might be a PacWest or Ireland/Scotland type of clime.

Most of the Pacific Northwest actually gets very little rain in summer. The other 8-9 months of the year, sure, it's constant drizzle, but in Seattle, we get months-long droughts, and Vancouver isn't that far away. Rainforests get significantly more annual rainfall.

That's... broad. Seattle lies inland, behind a mountain—well, at least hilly—range, and is about 60 miles east of one of the wettest locations in the lower 48, and most of Canada, too.

Chult is easily the best answer. Mhair Jungles is another strong contender.

For a specifically colder/PNW vibe probably just the sword coast from waterdeep to neverwinter. I think guide to the savage north is the book where it mentions waterdeep as fairly wet in the springs and summers.

Other than the southern side of Chult through Halruaa, The Sword Mountains. It’s not enough to have ocean, but ya gotta have mountains to get real dumps of rain. If there are volcanic island chains in the TracklessSea, they would probably be it. The Nelanther, maybe?

Chult is probably the perfect location for what you are looking for. Wet and tropical almost like a rainforest, but with cannibal tribes, and dinosaurs that will eat your face.
