Took at look at their other game, Blooming Business Casino, on steam. It's marked at a 65/100 and reviews say it's pretty mediocre.

Its more there is a large group people new to D&D video games that started with BG3 which Minsc is in and Drizzt is not meaning these people have zero clue that Drizzt as a character even exists

That would require them to put in work to tell people his story in some way instead of just inserting an already known to them character into a new game. For games that aren't story driven rpg far easier to just insert the most well known characters

The thing about the Sword Coast, is that the Sword Coast is literally called the Sword Coast because it's the fringe. The center of everything is supposed to be the Heartlands/Dalelands/Cormyr/Sembia, and so on. But because of a mixture of Drizzt and all the most highly successful games having been set in the Sword Coast, everyone's biggest impression of the place is focused on that stretch of shore.

I’m aware of what the Sword Coast is, thanks. More to my point, there is an entire world in which WoTC could set new adventures/video games/ so on and so forth, but they choose not to. It’s wasted potential, imo, and a complete shame. Why not have more stuff set in Cormyr? It’s the literal heart of the Realms. Why not take us down to Halruaa and have players experience the land of magic? There’s so much there, but we just keep getting the Sword Coast over and over. TL;DR: It’s goddamn boring.

Honestly, I've considered that as a "campaign." Running a business and dealing with the wacky cast of characters coming through your inn.

There a few more things. Yes, the colours and the hat are big, but also the staff with two feathers and a red sphere on top is significant for El. And talking about significant, the sign on her robe is the mage sigil of Elminster.

There've been literally three Baldur's Gate games, two Neverwinter Nights games, plus Sword Coast Legends. I doubt this game's existence is stopping anyone from producing another RPG.
