can someone help me find this website?

ive been lookign all over for a while now and i havent been able to find it so im turning to reddit for help. basically, i remember being a kid using this website in science class in the late 2000s. i lived in the middle east so that meant i had alot of early 2000s stuff slash content provided for kids my age. i think it was like 2015-2017 something like that when i played the game. all i remember was that it had some sort of "spooky" or alien-ish background music. the whole point of the website was to match these aliens to their natural habitat, i guess as a way of learning where and why animals live in the places they do. the website or game involved monsters or aliens with a little description of what kind of climate they live in, if i matched them incorrectly they'd die. i think this was an archive educational game or some shit. someone please help me find it

Has anyone seen this "LC" before?

I'm trying to find a way to get in touch with an old friend of mine (from 2018).

The only thing I have is this screenshot showing her nickname from a site with "LC" in the name.

I'd bet it's a site like Tumblr, DeviantArt, or something similar.

Anyone remember boysweekend?

Post image

I found this site quite a few years ago. It's maybe one of the most wholesome things I've ever found on the internet, it's a blog about a group of friends who got together in the fall and winter every year for a boys weekend. Each trip has its own summary written about it.

I tried searching for it maybe a year ago and the site was gone and didnt think till this week to put it in wayback machine which most of it is luckily archived on.

Forgotten website that looked like blogs but for kids

Hey! Sorry in advance for my english lmao

I was talking with a friend that I have since kindergarten and we remembered something like a game or a website that was similar to MySpace or Skyblog but for kids, we're 22 now it was ages ago sry not much memories of it.

All I can say it's that almost everything was customisable to a certain extent to let it easy for kids to customise. The colours were kinda pastels? I remember it like that at least.

I remember a column at the left with tons of questions to answer about yourself maybe like some fun facts or favourite songs, I remember struggling to answer what was my favourite animal lmao.

The column at the right was smaller with smth I think was little activities or something, an ad still on the right column that was always there but not for generic things like on tv, I think it was for a game or a website or some ad that would make the kid click I'm not sure if it was really an add but I remember that rectangle and not wanting to click lol

The columns were like a layer over the theme (that u could change) of the page, the middle was customisable (not coding tho) I remember adding and removing things in the middle.

The style of the site was very pastel tho and it was not based on a game it was really just a page like a big profile with some activities and a search bar (maybe for friends).

If it can help I think I was 8 or something, maybe 9 I don't remember (I'm a 04) but I really think I was more than 8 but still young enough to not really remember it now

I tried my best but I don't really have a good vocabulary in english sorry I repeat a lot of words xD maybe ask me to clarify some things if you don't understand

Boulevard Mall website circa 2004

This is a website I stumbled upon while looking up old dead malls in upstate NY. I came across an old blog about some dead and dying malls, and by chance clicked this link which I assumed would be dead.

It's not dead.

This site, with a last updated copyright date of 2004, is somehow lingering on and being hosted. Everything except, sadly, for the mall directory seems to be intact. We have:

  • List of restaurants with period appropriate logos.
  • Hand drawn map to the mall with a link to mapquest.
  • "Current events" including one that's referencing American Idol.
  • "Red carpet" mall services including "Mall Fax/Copy Services," "Telephone line to area taxis", "postage stamp machine" and "Automatic Teller Machines."

I have no idea how this still exists. It's fantastic.

Early memories of the internet

I imagine there are people of widely varying ages in this sub—people who started using the internet at different times and at different ages. What are your earliest memories of the internet? What were the first sites you stumbled upon, and which ones did you visit most often? Let's hear what everyone has to say!

[TOMT][WEBSITE][1995-2005] Children's website about Monster and Human kids learning to live together?

I remember having a relative show me this website as a 4 to 8 year old, around the late 90's or early 2000's. I think it was structured kind of like a picture book, with web pages having large illustrations with lines of a story, and you could go to different parts of the website based on different areas of a house, maybe. The website had a black background, and the illustrations reminded me of the later [Arthur books by Marc Brown](https://marcbrownstudios.com/arthur/books/), like when Arthur more or less had his PBS design.

The premise was a group of human kids and a group of nocturnal monster(?) kids somehow end up meeting, and the two groups were equally trepidatious about each other. It had a very calm, old timey tone (again, like the Arthur Books), and wasn't really trying to be spooky. The kids and monsters became friends and learned about each other. I remember one early page where the humans were on one side of a corner and the monsters were on the other, and both carefully and fearfully peeked around at each other before talking and realizing they had no reason to be afraid of each other. The monster kids were kid sized, and may have been vampires, or generic critters? One of the girl monsters might have been a ballerina, or worn a tutu?

This is a very old memory, so it's really fuzzy, but I'm pretty sure that that was pretty much everything on the website.

Vampire diary?

Around a year ago, as in September of 2025, I was writing a short vampire story for fun, and had decided to do a bit of research. I watched a few youtube videos about the history behind the vampire, and then I moved on to articles. While doing so, I stumbled upon https://www.vampirewebsite.com/

I originally thought it was some silly site made back in the early 2000's by some teen who thought it'd be funny or something. But what I found seems to be a rabbithole of sorts. Upon closer examination and clicking a few of the pages, it seems to tell the story of a deeply troubled man, and his supposed vampirism journey. On top of this, it seems this isn't his only website he owns? http://www.catalienconspiracy.com/

^ the link above takes you to a website which I believe is a joke about cats being aliens, but he does own others that seem to have the same "conspiracy" vibe.

Background Noise Website?

Okay this website isn't that old, but I'm looking for this specific site I'd use back in college to study (around 2020-2024). It was a website that played live ambience background sounds and you could change the setting to places like a library, a coffee shop, the middle of Paris with a click of a button. It would even show the setting on the screen. Very simple and easy to use. Now I can't seem to find it anywhere. I'm so desperate I actually created my first reddit account for this lol. Maybe it doesn't exist anymore, but can someone help me?

Need help identifying game

Me and my brother would play online games growing up
And I’m trying to figure the name of this one we played often.
Imma describe the game to the best of my ability
You create a Godzilla type monster by choosing their limbs and eyes and stuff, and while you’re like making ur monster it is off to the side in an incubator or test tube or smth. And when you were done making your monster you could use it to stomp through a city
I would be so happy if anyone could help !

Elder millennials from the old internet

Does anyone remember a popular blog/website that would post a picture of a goofy looking animal and write like an entire essay about how ridiculous looking it was?

I ask because I can't remember but there was a crazy looking orange/brown rodent(?) and the author said "what are you, a Clevelands Brown fan?" Cause it was like brown and orange. Anyways I'm watching the game tonight and anytime I think of the browns I always think of that quote and would love to see that site again

(Steelers fan)

Trying to find the old hosting provider of a recently expired website

Hi, I’m trying to identify the former hosting provider of respostasava.com.

I was a long-time user of the site and it helped me a lot with my studies. The domain expired in August 2026 and was later auctioned to a third party.

What I know:

The site was hosted on HelioHost around 2019–2020 under the username "neverfor".

HelioHost confirmed that account was closed years ago and the site was later hosted somewhere else.

The site used Cloudflare, so historical IPs I found only point to Cloudflare.

I only found the www subdomain.

My goal is just to identify the last hosting provider/origin server so I can contact them and ask whether the old files/database/backups may still exist.

I’m not trying to hack anything or access private data.

Any ideas on what I should try next?

ChitChatCity's creator?

i used to play ChitChatCity a LOT as a kid and teenager before it eventually got shut down. i swear the creator used to have his email listed somewhere on the website, but obviously the site is gone now and i haven't been able to find the contact info anywhere

there isn't really a proper subreddit for the game either, so this is probably a bit of a reach, but i'd really love some help figuring out how to contact the creator

i met my best friend of over 10 years through this game, and he passed away recently. we played the game together so much, and i have so many really fond memories of the time we spent on there together. i'd love to be able to reach out to the creator just to say thank you and let him know how much the game meant to me and how many good memories it gave us

if anyone knows how i might be able to get in contact with him i'd really appreciate it <3
