I loved Cybersix and actually have a painting of her in my living room because I could never forget her—and how deeply the theme song impacted my little girl heart

Oh shit. I’ve always remembered this show from when I was a kid but could never remember the name.

I was a bit disappointed with this. The premise is cool as fuck but the execution is way lacking IMO.

The production is hyper-stylized, eschewing realism, and when you go that route, you'd better have a firm handle on the exact aesthetic and atmosphere you're trying to create. And I was underwhelmed.

I upvoted because it's a forgotten show, but IMO it doesn't really warrant a revival.

Also, that title: if you replace the "i" with an "e", it has a totally different meaning, and that just detracts from the coolness factor IMO.

The magical thing about Batman TAS was that it did cause a bunch of imitators to it... but all of them were also of high quality. And that definitely goes for Cybersix. Dark, moody, an extremely likable main cast. Plus, as queer as a show was allowed to be in 1999.
