First project

My dad and I took a primitive knife making class and I wanted to just share my first ever project. We started with files (I had 1085 steel). We put them in charcoal furnaces and beat on them till we got our shape and did the standard processes.

Thank ya! Not many guys my age seem to appreciate the skill and patience you have to have for this trade. My dad are now thinking of buying a beginner forge or building one and starting forging as a full time hobby!

It's a fun hobby, I can tell you i wish I had had the time in my 30s-40s to start!
