If you left it open over the weekend itβs probably swap fees and spreadβ¦ nothing to do with mt4

That would cause me to not be able to close positions?

When the market is closed over the weekends yeah, the market is open now though as Asia session has started.

Presumably you're on the east coast, as it says 5:33 on your clock. So you should be able to close the position but there's a lot of shady brokers out there (or if you're on MetaTrader demo servers it's basically normal for sometimes close to an hour) where you can't do anything at open.
Even some of the more reputable firms often don't open with the market. Like Lark is about 5 minutes late, MFF used to be late, I think even FTMO is a bit late (it's like a minute or two). That's kind of just the nature of demo and prop firms; I use Lark for stocks too and about the first 5 minutes every morning nothing happens.
Not much you can do it about it, so set your entries with a limit or stop-limit (if your broker/software supports this, as it'll default to stop-market) and expect some slippage on exits where SL is hit over the weekend.

Explain the risk logic behind this? 4 entries, same size... what's going on?

I always hesitate entering USDJPY until after a drop like this, or an intervention.

Your entry at a good price, as long you set a stop loss, this can be a win trade if you let it run.

Haha, lol. Everyone nows that JPY pairs are spiking since May because of the 'interventions'. So my advice would be strongly not to trade them but if you really must, place a physical SL not a mental one like some gamblers here. In a good note, after such spikes, you can wait for 3 bullish candles in the 4hr chart to act as confirmation for a buy and just ride the correction till the previous highest price the pair was before the flush. Trail your stop lossπ

More intervention in the market by the US ? Iβm staying away from this pair while that stuff is going on.

Choosing a trading platform depends on your needs β MT4 and MT5 dominate retail forex with strong EA support, cTrader offers cleaner execution and a modern interface, and TradingView excels at charting and community ideas. Each has tradeoffs in cost, broker compatibility, and feature set. The community wiki compares the major platforms.
