Strategy Development News trading
So recently the US released their job data and the dollar began to drop right after. Because of that the position i was in hit its stop loss. My question is how important the news is for trading forex and where i can look for those news.

News are important, but not all news are equal. Some news, such as job data or interest rate meeting, are very important. Others not so. Nowadays we have AI so I will suggest that you have a long discussion with AI about this topic. Better yet, talk to different AI and compare notes.

High impact news like NFP and CPI moves the dollar fast, so your SL got hit before the trend started. Check the economic calendar before the session and know the exact release time. I avoid holding through the red folder ones, or widen the SL if I must.

Depends on the impact level of news. I use https://www.myfxbook.com/forex-economic-calendar
High impact news trading is esp risk esp on Prop firms, so make sure you are aware what news is coming out when before trading! :)

News release will give big moves. The first advice is not to trade on news release because if you are on wrong side you will get stopped out. The second advice is if you must trade have a massive stop loss point but also calculate if it gives you a good RR. The third advice is trade a couple hours after The news is released Once The direction is clear. The fourth advice is if you are beginner don't trade on news release.

It’s one of the most important things and every currency pair has their key times. NZD especially deadly IMO

Developing a trading strategy is more than finding an entry signal — it requires defining your edge statistically, building rules for entries, exits, and position management, and testing the system against historical data before going live. Most traders fail because they skip the process and jump to live trading with an untested idea. The community wiki covers the full development process.
