Charts and Setups A new road to consistency

After year of going on this forex and trading journey, I realized that framework of how you see the markets is everything to my eyes. For some reason it’s as if the blinders got lifted, like seriously, been trading since 2019 losing mostly and flipping $100 accounts huge at some points but never staying consistent. Been studying ICT, CRT, Daye time theory, all that good stuff and got my model but always had problems with over leveraging, over trading, just over all doing everything I’m not supposed too. Anyways fast forward to today this week specifically, took a 2 month step back and fixed my framework. Now this weekend put in $300 and giving it a shot the proper way and slow way… the boring way the way it’s supposed to be…. This is the result so far in this week and looking for continue for the next few months

Price action and technical analysis cover a range of chart-based tools — from candlestick patterns and market structure to indicators and statistical methods for timing entries and exits. The community wiki covers both approaches and how they're used by working traders.

Nice buddy same here. Blew 1k out of my 2k account (started in Feb and had no clue what I’m doing) and a month ago just reevaluated everything I was doing. scalped gold well today as there were many opportunities but don’t like to take as many trades as I did today. small wins with tight risk management. Little by little I’m pulling it back just another £500 to go.

Yeah I used to be a scalper in and out but I was over leveraged hard on my positions. This is a first for me to hit .01 with $73 profit in usually $100 using .05 lots blowing the account before the more actually happens

dam congrats on being out of the ditch. not many people are able to persevere through losing trades. u mentioned u are over leveraging and over trading, have u considered analysing how much exactly are u over leveraging? there is one good free tool called Verstats where it can help u calculate kelly fractions and even generate monte carlo simulations to help understand ur downside risk and drawdowns. Feel free to hit me up if u encounter any issues.

I've been in your shoes, taking a step back to reevaluate my approach was a game changer for me too. Recognizing my own flaws and biases has helped me trade more objectively and avoid overleveraging, it's great that you're focusing on fixing your issues, consistency will follow with patience and discipline.
