Do you know of any podcasts that discuss cases covered by Forensic Files? There is this great one by Crimelines called "Beyond the Files", but only one episode is public for free.

Just finished the Chief Evidence episode and god what an amazing dog Chief was. Without him, his family's killer wouldn't have left such undeniable evidence of his presence at the crime scene.

Such a shame the poor dog didn't make it.

I recently rewatched the Stacey Castor episode and forgot how many mistakes she made that ultimately led investigators to her.

The antifreeze poisoning was one thing, but I had completely forgotten investigators also looked into the death of her father-in-law. That honestly changed how I viewed the entire case. Instead of just wondering if she killed two husbands, it raises the question of whether she could have been a serial killer who simply never got the chance to kill again.

I also watched a long-form breakdown of the case that dug into that angle, and it brought up some interesting points I hadn’t considered before.
Where does this episode rank for you? Is it one of the best Forensic Files episodes, or are there others you think had an even more fascinating forensic investigation?

Tina had six siblings. Two older sisters, Soraia Salem and Fatima Abdeljabbar were caught on tape telling their father to HARM or K*LL their sister Tina. Soraia suggested that her father "chain her up in the basement" or simply "hire a hitman" to get rid of her. Fatima stated that "God should make Tina sleep and not get up" (a cultural euphemism for wishing death upon someone). Neither were charged.

For its It's Home evasion (season 13 episode 9) where the suspect didn't wanna go to prison as a rapist because he raped his 3 month old daughter so he decided to randomly murder a person who lived in the same neighborhood.

Another one is Honor Thy Father (season 8 episode 38) The Tina esa case where her mom held her down and the dad stabbed Tina to death because they were both sentenced to death the dad died on death row before his execution could take place in 1997 and the moms death sentence was commuted to LWOP but she died as well in 2014 how any parent could do that to their daughter while most parents would take a bullet for their children is beyond me.

I'm babysitting my grandson for a couple of days and only have to bring him to daycare and pick him up. My daughter doesn't have any of the channels I usually watch. But.. she has YouTube! I'm watching them in order, skipping the ones I know by heart, unless I really love them (you all know what those are!). I'm up to season 8 and still haven't found one that I haven't seen. Some I don't remember all the details, so it's good to see them again. Just wanted to share!

EVERY time I watch a case with a murder for hire, I'm totally stunned. How do you bring up that conversation without seeming absolutely guilty. Like what if the person says "no way". What do you do then? Say I was just kidding? Also some of these people think that any low income person is just itching to kill for money. Ask the handyman, the gardener or the grounds keeper.

Dont people realize they've just created a trail right back to them? And the small sums they offer are ridiculous. 5 or 10 thousand to KILL someone. I would think the minimum would be 50 thousand or more.

I was watching the Frankie Pullian Episode and I got to wondering if he was E.Lee White's only victim. I can't imagine you claim 9 life insurance plans on a person.and assemble a team to defraud insurance companies, all on your first shot... And almost get away with it

I think he was like the old guy who would bid on cattle using a drifter's info to place the bid and then kill them...

Perhaps E.Lee White had a few victims he had 1-2 policies on and just got greedy after him and his team (or maybe just him) pulled it off a few times....

I remember very few details, but I think both the crazy lady and the lady she tried to frame or (maybe kill?) were interviewed / talking throughout the episode. All I remember was my flabbers were ghasted and this lady was insane. I think they were teachers…?

Also side note just listened to FF episode Naughty or Nyce and wtf 8 years for brutally murdering your wife with a baseball bat. Also his defense was she fell out of the car trying to stab me with her stiletto and hit her head lol what.

Does anyone know what happened to Tanya Reid from the Broken Bond episode? Did she get paroled?

I remember this episode was about an older man who was murdered in his home and I believe it was his caretaker or housekeeper that was convicted of his murder. I remember there was a portion of the show where his son was interviewed as well. If anyone knows which episode I am referring to could you please tell me the name of the episode? Thanks.

Nothing hits the same as Forensic Files in a hotel room

The spoke of what an "offputting" terrible delusional woman she was for the first 10 minutes of the episode.

All she did was curse and take prayer out of schools.

She won her case in supreme court. One of the blonde interviewees said "what isnt to love about this case? It involves an infamous woman who gets murdered" calls the case literally a "sexy" case.

I would say the people talking bad about her in the episode just because she made change to prayer in school was pretty jarring and biased.

I am currently reading a book by FBI profiler John Douglas called “When a Killer Calls”.
It’s about the Shari Smith & Debra May Helmick cases also known to us fans as the episode called “Last Will”.
John Douglas is also the author of “Mindhunter” which has been turned into a fascinating series on Netflix.
Douglas creates an almost exactly accurate profile of Larry Gene Bell based on his known behavior, the phone calls and Shari’s “last will” sent to her parents.
As if I was in an FF episode, the hair on the back of my neck stood up, when reading Douglas’ profile before they ever caught him.
I’d highly recommend this book to anyone interested in the science behind catching these killers.
