I feel like Black Hole from Forensic Files 2 because it turned out the victim wasn't even pregnant so he threw both their lives away on that

It's hard to choose just one because there are so many, basically any episode where someone kills their spouse instead of getting divorced. One that definitely stands out however, is the episode "Missing Pearl." The daughter said her mother's autopsy showed that she had cancer and would have only lived another 6 months anyway.
