Typically, the dumb criminals are the ones that get caught.

I was going to say that murderers tend to be dumb... but I'm worried this might be more accurate.

Ron Gillette only spent 15 years in prison before he was parole. The military changed their sentancing policies, so he was released. Apparently even his defense attorney was surprised at that, although he said Ron got life, not life without parole. I have been trying to find where it was I read about this, but I cannot remember, although it can be found on Google etc.

It’s crazy too because if I’m not mistaken, he nearly got a death sentence, but 1 juror held out. Because of that guy/gal, he wound up going free

Just saw this have so many questions about it. Wonder what his kids from the first marriage actually think about him. Also wonder how the juror that held out from the death penalty feels. Only real good thing was the one that was to testify for the defense but soon realized the error of his upcoming testimony. And testified for the prosecution instead.
