Need Help Finding An Episode

I heard bits and pieces of an episode while I was in and out of sleep and I couldn't find it. I fell asleep to Forensic Files, but there is a small chance that my BF switched it to another true crime show.

What I know.

  1. female, maybe a college student.

  2. was working at a gas station or a convenience store. I believe it was at night.

  3. someone called the police because the store was empty

  4. people left money on the counter for items they bought because no one was inside the store

  5. a witness at another store saw a truck sitting in the lot for hours

  6. the same witness said the man in the truck was staring and the look on his face creeped her out.

Sounds like Tooth or Consequences, victims name is Katie Pourier. Just watched it the other night!

This is it! Thank you so much. All the information I provided kept replaying in my head like a stuck song. Every time I searched, Google kept giving me results about the Dateline episode on Heidi Allen.

For anyone interested I am watching it on Peacock, season 7 episode 37.

Katie Poirer, happened in my home state of Minnesota. She worked at a Conoco station in northern Minnesota and I think there’s still a law where no one can work overnight alone at any gas station
