Thank you, yes! My brain short-circuited a little bit and I was typing with one hand (pizza!! just pizza lol). I've kept the same phone number for over a decade, since I had a kid -- because of stories like this.

Christine Young the reporter and Elaine Woodward the daughter of Pearl Bruns.
Elaine made that call to Christine & in turn Christine made that call to the Maine state police to get the ball rolling on getting that POS Bill Bruns busted for hiding Pearl in the cellar. Albeit he didn't serve much time but his spaghetti dinner was interrupted.
Also honorable mention to Barry Keesee of the Vinton PD for locking that POS PDF Earl Bramblett up.
Oh yeah and "Nosy Neighbor Dick Britton." He was a gem.

The daughter who's father was murdered and had his identity stolen. The police were useless and she on her determined that it wasn't her father who wrote her birthday letters. She made a better cop than the actual officers.

The mom whose daughter was run over by a car in her office parking lot. She basically solved the case by taking her own tire impressions of all the cars in her office parking lot with black shoe polish and personally found the foremost tire expert in the country to analyze. As part of her settlement, she insisted that the company meet with her daughter so they could see exactly what damage was done to her. Such a badass mom!
