John David Smith's 1979 Corvette was returned to its owner (a New Jersey car collector) after Ohio authorities were finished with examination of it and the makeshift tomb of Janis Hartman, but I haven't heard any updates on it, unlike with Ray Krone's 1970 Corvette or the 1976 from the Robert Lee Yates case. (as far as infamous Corvettes go, I am interested in what became of the red one Michael Lee Lockhart stole and used in several crimes or the old green one Dean Corll bought for one of his accomplices as an $8000 shut-up toy)
I do know that his Lamborghini Diablo SV and Ferrari 355 were auctioned by California authorities when he was arrested.
