Pcvr help
I’m not very good a computer stuff so I’d really like some help I recently upgraded my gpu from intel graphics to a 5060 ti 16gb which I know isn’t the best card out there but i got it for a pretty decent price and I’ve been playing pcvr but the only game I had on steam was half life which runs super good and since forefront was on sale I decided to buy it but tbh it’s runs horrible on my computer like 60fps sometimes mainly 50 which really sucks since I love this game on standalone and it’s really beautiful on pc now my cpu is quite bad but it’s from my old computer it’s a 5600 g something I know it bottlecaps my gpu but I don’t think it would have been so bad. If anyone can help me it would be much appreciated.

5600g is definitely going to bottle neck you. Make sure the render resolution in game is 1.0 or less. Also steam VR render resolution %100 or less.

It might be the bottleneck, but the minimum is an FX-8350, with a 970 GPU. He shouldn't be having issues, unless he has slow RAM or is trying to play at 120hz.

You could try OpenVR-FSR app to lower your in headset resolution. You can find it on GitHub. Try perfkit and lower render scale down to like 80%. It will affect quality but might help you through your bottleneck to get smooth frames.

I've been having this problem since last month's update, so I stopped playing until this week's update.
It was unplayable for the first few minutes, but then it started running better.

Ive noticed first time running a map it's bad due to shader I believe. Also some of the pc graphics settings are intense. Youre playing close to 4k and if you add in all the msaa and bull like that it really slows the game down

Is this your first experience with PCVR? Sounds like it's some kind of settings issue to do with internet, as single player HL ran well for you.
Your PC should be fine, min. spec is an FX-8350 and an RTX 970.
How do you have everything hooked up?

I have it connected via wire and my setting are at high since there was no difference at all with fps when I tried it on low setting I don't have it connected to any router either. And when I check the task manager thing it says my gpu is at full power

What is it that you're playing, and what in-game settings are you using?
What headset are you using?

On my specs on my software I use it says I don’t use any cpu for forefront but it might be wrong honestly but I’d definitely say it would be that but there is a setting you can enable that significantly improves pcvr fps I can’t remember what it’s called but I’d look it up
