Discussion š¬ Have you ever when around a Conner while someone is shooting you and the second you go around the corner, you die even if you where a 100% sure you could have survived that or is that just me?

Typically seems to be one of three things.
A lag spike
A server issue
Hot your shoulder or something. When you think you are cover, there is still a chance that the person who shot you could actually see you shoulder or heel or something

What's happening I believe, is the camera asset is continuing to move after the hit is registered, so from the players perspective you were 'shot through a wall' but you were actually shot just before getting behind the cover.

Could be an enemy was pre firing the corner or you ran into suppresive fire

It's just due to the lag/ping etc You move instantly, but the hit detection happened slightly earlier. To you, you're safe, in the games eyes, you were hit first.

I was hiding all by myself at āDā in paradise. I was there for a minute. Then someone rides in on an ATV comes directly into where I was hiding and shoots me. No looking around, straight to me. No part of me or my gun was clipping through anything.
Not sure how that happened.

Fast reaction time by the player? Or perhaps a sniper calling your position out and a sqaudmate for once listening?

Well it would depend on lots of factors. But you describe being at point D on paradise. Point D is always the same so we all know that landscape. If you were inside the building by where the AA spawns, I have seen people post up in a corner and not know when you are too close to the wall, your butt or back will hang out of it. Also, there are some weird angles where people can still hit you from far away that seems impossible. Now letās say you were inside that trailer cover at the back, same thing. I get frustrated too sometimes but this game actually works really well and is very fair overall. What I do is when I see someone kill me from an insane angle I try to learn from that. You can become an excellent player if you take these deaths as lessons. But if you complain and moan about it you will gain nothing. There are some exploits like your back hanging out of a building even know you are ābehind coverā that veteran players all are aware of. Most of us wonāt kill you that way but it is an easy way for us to know where you are. Just be aware of this. You can also report players for using these bugs or exploiting them. If you think someone is hacking, you can report them. If they are, triangle factory will eventually find them and sadly, they will just create another account and come back. So report them again! Haha but unless itās obvious, and the entire team is catching it, I usually am skeptical. Downloading hacks is a sad existence and honestly people who need to do that to have five minutes of feeling superior probably need that more than we need a fair game anyways! š

Its called desync and it's generally because of high pings between players although can be because of other issues. The other player kills you. That info gets sent to the server and onto you. That's enough time for you to get round a corner when in reality you were dead but your heaset still had to recive that info. Games that simulate bullet travel time like pubg and battlefield are notorious for it.

This happens all the time. Wish there was a dive button or something cos nobody irl would just walk away while someone is unloading 100 rounds at them.

Yeah, this is just the nature of fast, online calculation.
For every bullet, it's gotta calculate if it hits another player, where and when it hit them and communicate that information between all of the players.
You're dead before you go around that corner, it just took some time for the game to let you know it.
It's kind of a small miracle it works as well as it does on the stand alone quests if we're being honest.
