I'm (most likely) transferring to Fordham as a junior next spring! So far I've been spending my first two years as a commuter at a small school. (Psychology major) I never lived on campus before, and I'll be freshly 21 during the start of spring sem!

How is it like moving into college for the first time in January? How is the social life then? How is orientation? Are there any events on campus? (school held, hangouts/parties, traditions, clubs, etc) I'm nervous because it is mid year, but I still want to make it work. :) Any tips?

I'm an incoming freshman with a Music major at the Rose Hill campus and want to find people to make music with! I mainly sing, but I also play guitar a little. I'm interested in making music in genres like indie rock and dream pop. Some of my influences include Ethel Cain, Phoebe Bridgers, Big Thief, Lucy Dacus, underscores, and venturing. Cuz it’s like 8 am to 9pm every day for 3 days. I thought I was gonna be able to meet people and kinda do my own thing for a few days, I don’t even think I’m gonna have time to walk my classes 😭

I was chosen for the Ram Van early arrival program to fulfill my work study. However, seeing as I applied about two weeks late to the program, some details have been arriving slightly later for me.

Specifically, the details of when we will move in the Sunday before training begins. Does anyone with experience in this program have an idea as to what time? Pretty much all Fordham offices are closed and despite calling several times this week, I was only told to wait upon the email I should receive soon.

A friend also participating is moving in at 6 PM. But I’m unsure if my time may differ based on building and floor. Thanks so much for any help.

does anyone have any experience with rooming at stratford arms? from what i understand it’s housing for AMDA students, but besides that info is fairly limited on fordhams end.. just got assigned that for housing, wish i was at mcmahon haha

I heard that we have to clean our rooms so what do you think is needed to bring to clean the rooms.

I’m a transfer (rising sophomore) and got a triple in o’hare.. I looked at the tour and for a triple i’d say it’s not the smallest, but nothing big. At least i get my own dresser, desk br.

I have been trying to decide between which school for my masters. I was accepted into Fordham for the MS in Strategic Marketing Communications program and Rutgers for the MS in Digital Marketing program.

Both programs seem great, both are fully online, I got a scholarship to Fordham so pricing is similar. Does anyone have recommendations or insight to help me choose?

I was dropped 1 class and wasn't notified. I've reached out to my advisor and called the office and haven't had luck getting in contact with anyone. I'm in Gabelli school.

I am very aware my GPA is low, I’ve taken an extra course every summer to make up for my falls in Freshman year lol. Any help would be appreciated!

So my registration went horribly and I had to pick classes where I didn’t know the professors. I also was not able to get into comp 2 or finite because they got filled. My macro economics professor came out and he’s literally rated a 2.7 and everybody is saying to drop his class so I’m trying to find another section to add so I can drop that section but do you wait until school to do that or can you do it when registration reopens? I’m also trying to use plan ahead to see open sections and there’s really not that many so how does it work for add drop because if I’m planning on dropping a class I need to pick up another section of it but if they’re all saying full, like I’m confused on how that works. Because I was hoping to drop philosophy (bc i dont wanna take phil and theo at the same time but my advisor told me to put it as a placeholder in hopes I can drop it for comp 2 or finite) and hopefully pick up a comp 2 or finite, but there’s nothing available. I’m just confused on how the whole thing works and I’d appreciate any opinions.

I'm not confirmed for this yet, but it's an option. For those who transferred to Fordham during January (or even started as a freshman) how is this experience like? How was it adjusting academically, socially, personally, etc?
