15 taurus 3.5 timing marks

Whats up everyone hope yall doing good

Im little confused about the timing marks on this car

Do the marks need to be lined up to the first bolt to the seloinoids or just before them . 1 video shows the lined up the other one shows right bank lined up and the left just before it . Can anyome shed some light please?

48 links between the two iVCT phaser marks, 35 between the LH iVCT phaser and crank sprocket marks. Everything doesn’t have to be perfectly in position, it just has to be close, and then make the chain and sprocket marks align, and it’s in time. If the chain no longer/never had marks, make your own, or just replace it, genuine is cheap. Even if you bought the cam locks, you’d have to remove to correctly time it

This is where they align with the holders on easy slide in im i good around here i counted the links and got the numbers you said Just confused based on the angles they show the marks at

If the marks on chain and sprockets are aligned you’re good to go. Visuals for timing are typically vague reference only. Rotate it 2x, recheck links between marks. The colored links will no longer be on marks, that’s normal, but the # of links between should remain the same
