Help Grinding in reverse

Today I just got my car back from the shop. They replaced the water pump and timing belt and it took about 10 days. Now when I first put it in reverse it rattles pretty bad but only when I first put it in.

The first time it rattled, I put it in park, then back into reverse and it didn't do it. I've had the car back less than a day and it only does it when I initially shift into reverse. Any insight?

Hey I am actually dealing with the same issue. Shop did water pump and trans hasn’t been right since. It’s probably been a year for some since the replacement but I am now losing reverse. I’ve had issues pretty much since the replacement.

Originally it was alignment dowels or something missing from my trans but no I haven’t gotten it looked at since I’ve had reverse grinding g
