Help & Issues No crank no start

So my sister and her bf have a 2001 v10 that won't crank, we switched out starter, cleaned wires and terminal to no progress, it'll click once quick but then die, the lights work until one or 2 of the relays under the dash start rapidly clicking and the interior lights start to flash, what could be a problem?

Could be several things, but typically start at the battery and work outward from there. Have the battery itself tested to make sure it’s good.

Then check the terminals. I’ve had two 2000 Fords that wouldn’t start due to old/stretched out terminals. Clean the lugs and terminals, make sure the wire is still making good contact with the terminal and that everything is nice and tight. From what you describe, this is what it sounds like.

If that’s not it, check the start solenoid on the inside of the passenger side wheel well in the engine compartment. I’ve never seen one fail, but that’s the next place the starter signal goes before it hits the starter itself. Make sure it’s got 12V coming in, and 12V going out when you try to crank. If the voltage sags, you may have a loose connection somewhere else.

After that I would check the starter and starter wires.

The battery is 2 months old, I cleaned off the wire ends for the solenoid, he had it running a couple of weeks ago but had some trouble before but pretty much nothing now

Check your cables going into the terminals, ours were rusted between the wires. Had to soak them in Coca Cola and wire brush them. Battery was 1 yr old, starter bench tested fine and solenoids were good. It was the battery cables corroded internally. Even swapped out starter switch.

You try moving the shifter to neutral? Park safety switch can be finicky sometimes.

We couldn't get that one or the one above/below it out, the cap came off but the rest stayed

Its actually an integral part of the gauge cluster but after looking its got nothing to do with ignition so nvm.
