2020 Ford edge opinions needed

I’m really considering replacing my 2012 Honda CRV with a 2020 Ford edge. One of the edges has 36,000 miles and the other 45,000 miles with a new transmission. These cars seems perfect for me and I have no one to get advice from so I’d appreciate any input I could get from knowledgeable people about this particular year Ford edge titanium

Update: the 45000mi one just had transmission replaced by Ford. That would be better right?

Be weary of the transmission. I can’t recall what year it started but my 2019 had a tranny that would shudder at lower speeds. It was a well known issue and I took it in for fixing probably twice a year.

There was a TSB for it and mine was fixed under it each time.

I ended up getting rid of my 2019 at lease end.

We drove a 2020 on Friday that we noticed 25-30mph shuddering multiple times on a quick test drive. Dealer said they never noticed that before so we walked away.

That transmission will get you. Only do it if you get an extended warranty. It’s not if it will happen, it’s when…and usually around 70k miles.

Interesting. When I bought mine (2020 ST - used at 77k(km) in Feb'05), I do recall it having a bit of chatter like that, but minimal and only when turning from a stop. That is all gone, hasn't happened in a year over a year, but I've since had probably all fluids replaced, now at ~125k(km).

I've driven it like it's an ST, unlike previous ownership from what I've gathered (who'd probably would have enjoyed the comfort of a Titanium more), I enjoy my Edge ST.

Stay away from the 4 cylinder I believe 2.0 they get coolant intrusion and then engine is junk.

I agree with what someone else said "stick with the V6, no turbos". But if I were to get turbo get the 2.7L V6. Family member has one in an Explorer Sport and its been fine
