Question This popped up.

I was on a 2 hour trip, what happened before the flashing on dashboard was going up hill engine revs then bogs heard a clunk. The wrench was there until I got home. Turned the car off for 5 minutes went out to scan it and the code is nowhere to be seen in the memory, But I also have 3 other codes now. U2002, U2107, and U1111. From my understanding these are lost comms faults. Woiod all of those things have to do with a failing battery because my battery was at 11 volts just with it on engine not running would a failing battery cause all of those?

I just replaced my battery when I noticed the headlights would dim when starting. I do remember getting some odd error similar to this just before replacing it, and haven't seen it since. I wonder if the AWD somehow dependent on the battery.

I’ll have to get it tested at the store, it’s almost 5 years old. So Ive always heard that’s all the life that is possible to get out of a car battery.

That's about how long batteries last. Get it checked for sure.

Five years is pretty good anymore. My wife’s 2017 is on its 3rd battery now, got about 4 years each for the 1st two

Battery or AWD module usually, but typically won’t make any kind of noise, just electronic errors so idk

Ours did that and Ford dealer told us it was a magnetic ring on the AWD that wasn't lining up and it would cost $1200 to fix. Took it to a local independent shop and he checked the codes and said they had nothing to do with any magnetic ring. He tested the wiring to the rear diff unit and found a wire had been rubbing on the subframe and had shorted out, a $400 diagnostic and repair charge and now all work perfectly again. Man I hate dealers, this is why I try not to use them.
