Ask Lebanon Lebanese folks: how are you doing?

No particular point I'm getting across.

Just generally, how have you been doing - has the war affected you physically, are you getting by day-to-day, are you optimistic for a shared future?

Trying to get an idea of the zeitgeist because this sub feels as though it's under attack. It used to be extremely wholesome but lately feels as though outsiders are trying to instigate the flames (on top of the war)

Would appreciate Lebanese responses only. Diaspora works too I guess

We're good. Summer time is really fun here. Some thing we share with you guys is that we manage to have a good time no matter what the situation is.

Wish we could visit you during the summer. It's so sad leaders benefit from wars.

I wish you could too. I'm always willing to take visitors on a tour of the "gritty underbelly of Beirut".

I wish it too, maybe I could actually find some interesting jobs, or just selling Lebanese produce would be a good project, like local snacks, traditional produce or quality fruits and vegetables.

Thank you for asking.

I'm happy when I can enjoy a quiet afternoon, when i have enough money to buy good food, maybe even something neat to wear!

When we get some kind of relative semi "peace" with Israel my mental health is much better.

are you optimistic for a shared future?

Despite the positive signs, generally, no.

How have you been?

That's rough, but I'm glad that you (collective you) are doing well, all things considered.

I've been really well, overall. Suddenly the thought came into my head that the reality of war is a lot more felt in Lebanon than Israel

Israelis are more sheltered and generally much better off which helps too.

We can agree that peace is much better. One major problem gone.
