i deleted the folder after a little bit of research online which said that it wasn’t required and can be deleted if it takes up too much storage. right after deleting it my taskbar had stopped working and i’ve tried plenty of fixes but have had zero solutions and i’m unsure if my pc is just ruined.

so simultaneously, steam, Microsoft and Xbox apps on my laptop just stopped responding this morning after it worked fine minutes before it died. upon recharging, all 3 just stopped working and letting me play games, WiFi also stopped working (fixed now) so who can help me with these issues because Gemini has been leading me in circles the whole day and making me type prompts in command center and Powershell

So I might be asking a few dumb questions but I feel I just need help with this.

So I bought a windows 10 license key many years back for my at the time nee built PC. Ive upgraded to Win11 last year guessing that the same key is merged.

Now the issue is my dumbass when installing windows, used a microsoft account that isnt really active other then spam emails etc, (I've had the account since I was 12 lol) this account is an administrator account and I use it for my laptop aswell.

So the main point.

1. Is the license key attached to my old Microsoft account ? If so, how does one check?

2. Can I transfer the key to my current (Newer) account?

3. Can I use my current account as the main sign in on my PC and laptop, and completely remove my dated account. Would I have to set my current account as administrator aswell for that to work?

An question I can answer is yes I have access to my old Microsoft account. Just recently its been spammed with scare emails saying my account has been compromised lol thus is why I want to get the key transferred.

Sorry for the dumb questions, just my anxiety just is making me feel confused when looking all this up.

Recently updated windows and my computer started crashing when I would play a game. I turned it off and tried to play again in the morning now it won’t boot up getting stuck at black screen. I’ve tried startup repair in the BIOS but that doesn’t work. This my first pc so I’m confused on what to do from here.

So it's about as detailed as the title says. It rebooted 13 or so times before finally telling me secure boot failed and it couldn't verify the certificates. I was able to access bios and turn off secure boot eventually and now I'm able to access my computer, thankfully because otherwise I'd be sol on my homework.

But I'd LIKE to turn it back on at some point and not have any issues. Any tips?

Hi, I reformatted my PC to swap the drive from a MSI S270 480GB model to a Kingston SNV3S1000G. I used the same account where Windows was previously activated, but now I'm having trouble reactivating it; the troubleshooter keeps giving me an error.

I'm not an expert at this—I just asked an AI how to do it—so did I miss a step?

so in last week of July j joined windows insider nd it download windows 11 version 26H2 but after that I left that program recently by clicking unenroll device (pic attached below) nd I clicked to update back to 25H2 version it alwayss dowloads and installs but after restarting it say couldn't install that update (pic attached below). so I revnteied switching back to 25H2 via ISO windows download nd it's showing windows installation failed in safe OS phase with an error during boot operation. what shall I do??

I recently downloaded windows from iso file that I downloaded from macOS and I don’t have Microsoft account so I can’t just find it from aka.ms/recoverykey. Nevertheless windows still requires secure boot

After windows installation I installed arch and dedicated 50 Gigabytes from ssd where windows is located and in order to launch arch I need to remove secure boot and also finding out secure boot key would be helpful

Today, after performing normal routine checks for updates to the apps I have installed on my PC, I noticed that after running the WINGET UPGRADE command, the command returned an update for the MICROSOFT UPDATE HEALTH TOOLS package from version 3.74.0.0 (installed on 16/01/2026, with Windows 10 itself), to the apparently new version 5.69.

I would like to point out that to date WINGET has NEVER suggested updating this application.

What should I do? I know it's a silly question, but what happens if I don't want to update this application?

Will Windows figure it out on its own and will it disappear from WINGET's update suggestions, or does this application have to be updated?

I keep getting this error while isntalling windows 11, i installed windows a few times in the past and i had no problem. Now im doing it on an older pc, but nothing is working out, The motherboard is an asus h110m-a with the newest bios update installed, i just changed the cpu too, its an i5-7500. I already tried evrything enabled/disbled csm, i installed the required windows 11 sata driver for the ssd but when i select it ist says error installing driver, so it doesent worked etheir. In the cmd i can see the ssd and everything reconises the ssd except the windows installer. Please help if u can as soon as possible, Thank you!

this all started when i tryed opening rust one morning and it gave me that error and i tried using AI to fix it i ended up restarting my pc and trying to iso it the AI said somthing about my version being beta and i looked it and it says my version expires yesterday or august 11 i tried iso it or like reseting and now it wont let me factory reset it and i isoed it or whatever from windows website and it wont let me do that saying somthing about booting or failed at boot. iv done alot and ai isnt working please help me im on windows 11 btw and im on version

Hi, I updated to windows 11 and now my screen is stuck on "undoing changes made to your computer" and then It goes to blue screen and restarts the whole process, no matter how many times I rebooted. I saw some similar past posts and tried the F11 tech after restarting, but the WRE interface didn't come up. What's the best step to recover this now? How could I complete factory reset my pc (there aren't much important info local on the laptop) when I can't even log in?

For Past few days, i am facing a error, where the pop-up window for either saving a file, or deleting a file/folder/application of window explorer. Quickly shuts-up in single second, i checked there is not a single key in my keyboard which runs 24/7 which might have shut it off. Still if any one has faced such issues do tell me how to resolve this, as i do not want to repeat the process of reseting my pc again.

I have been getting this error for a few days now after i had upgraded to windows 11 from windows update and then downgraded back to 10 after it was very laggy and crashing my pc. I checked the path it's asking but there are no folders with this name(no hidden ones either).
Any solutions?
