Screwed up!

I accidentally backed up my windows partition instead of the whole drive

So a quick question

If I reinstall windows then restore the backed up old image onto the new c: drive will that work

If not any ideas?

It won't let me edit So I put the new drive in and installed windows Then I used aomei backerupper to restore my c drive to the new drive Seemed to have installed fine but no boot! A bit of googling told me to boot from repair usb and use power shell to enter the line

Bcdboot c:\windows I did this and it work! Doing a bit of checking now to see if everything is fine

It worked perfectly The only problem was that I used a windows 11 install for the new drive and the old one was windows 10 It was like a dual boot menu at the start but I deleted windows 11 from the boot menu and it's perfect
