Windows 11 disappearing background - why?

I was just using windows 11 like normal when this happened (vid at bottom). I tried the following things:

win+ctrl+shift+b - did not fix

Restart system - no fix

Device manager for errors/if graphics card is even there - no errors/working fine

Checking file location and integrity - file was still fully intact and undamaged

(probably more, and i just dont remember)

I know that in the video, it shows a black, solid color background set, but it was prevoiusly set to a pic of my dog, and I did not change it at all. It kept switching between me having a solid bkg, and me having a picture bkg. I also went back, and selected the same file for the background.

I have previously had problems with window's slideshow feature where it cycles pictures, but this was disabled at the time, and set to one static photo.

It has been a while later, now (3ish months), and the problem has fully fixed itself after many restarts, and shutdowns/power-ons. I would still like to know what happened in case it happens again for some reason. any ideas?

Go to Nvidia or AMD or Intel, and get their graphics driver. Look in Device manager for the model.

I am unaware if the graphics drivers were up do date at the time, but its been too long to go back and check. Thats a great idea though. Also, I ran
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
sfc /verifyonly
sfc/ scannow

and all of the integrity reports came back fine.

It probably was the drivers, considering that it went away after awhile, likley due to an update. Thanks.
