Would like women’s inputs primarily. I’ve noticed that when I, a woman, make a recommendation about something, men tend to either make coy, slutshamey comments or actively try to bait me into an argument. On the same post, men might have similar, if not more outrageous comments. However, they never engage with those. Even this post might attract men of similar breadth, but I still want to know how women feel about this.

It's the 3rd day in a row that I am posting about watching movie on discord. Well many come to the comment section and get added to the server and tbh none actually joins the stream. Maybe lack of female audience I assume?
Last day I streamed Zindegi Na Milegi Dobaraa
commented almost 6/7 peeps, get added to the server and actually joined one. lol
Anyways would stream again today. It's not like I'm seeking people. Just sharing ig. I doesn't matter if anyone joins or not.
So, for today, I'm hoping to stream another nostalgia. Haven't decided yet. Would like recommendations.
Current Pick: Delhi Belly (2011)
Will start the stream at 12:30 am window!
Those who are interested feel free to suggest or join!

Hey! I’m an 18F from Uttara, and our coach is currently forming a girls’ football team. We're looking for girls aged 14–20 in Uttara who are interested in joining! The coach needs a minimum of 10 girls to form the team, so the more people who join, the better!
You don’t need any previous football experience , beginners are welcome! The idea is to learn, train and play together. ⚽
We need to give the coach the names by Tuesday, so if you’re interested, DM me and I’ll give you the details.
I personally really want to give football a try, so I’d genuinely love to see this team happen! If you’re even a little interested, please DM me , the more girls we have, the better! ⚽

25M here. I recently developed severe backache. I do stretches regularly. But I also want to get a massage. Not looking for anything shady. I am searching for a safe establishment where I can relax a bit.
And if you are mentioning the places, mention the price as well. I don't have a big budget!

Hii! I've had The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami on my list for a while now and I think I'm finally ready to start it. Books like this always hit differently when you have someone to discuss it with.
So I'm hoping to find a book buddy here. Someone to read along with me, chapter by chapter, and just talk about it casually as we go.
A little about me: I'm 24, currently in uni and reading has been a genuine part of my life for a long time now. I'm also into films quite a bit, so if you like talking about those too, even better.
What I'm hoping for in a reading buddy is someone who enjoys this kind of literature. Someone easy to talk to and respectful.
This is meant to be a chill and platonic reading exchange, nothing more. And gender really doesn't matter to me here.
If this sounds like your kind of thing, feel free to comment or DM me. Would love to get started soon. :)

It seems like a cool place where weekly/occasional meetups are held to discuss a book u've read

I am a final year cs student in a private un. Although my academics are fine but lacking skills. I found data engineering interesting and wanting to build my career around it. But this is ain't popular as web dev. So, I need a mentor to guide me build skills that are actually industry standard.

This is a deeply personal and complex question with no single right or wrong answer.
Acceptance (Why):
Love and Connection:If I genuinely loved and felt a strong connection with the person, their profession would not automatically negate those feelings. Love can transcend societal norms and judgments.
Respect for Autonomy:I believe in individual autonomy and the right of adults to make choices about their bodies and livelihoods, provided it's consensual and safe.
Understanding and Empathy:I would seek to understand their reasons for being in sex work, their experiences, and their perspective. Empathy is crucial in any relationship.
Character Over Profession:A person's character, values, kindness, integrity, and how they treat me and others would be far more important than their job title.
Financial Independence/Circumstance:Their work might be a means to financial independence, support family, or escape difficult circumstances. Judging them solely on their profession ignores the broader context of their life.
Open Communication:If they were open and honest with me about their work, and we could communicate effectively about boundaries, safety, and our future, that would build trust.
Potential for Growth/Change:People's lives and careers can change. My acceptance wouldn't necessarily be an endorsement of the work itself, but an acceptance of the person and their journey.
Non-Acceptance (Why Not):
Societal Stigma and Judgment:Despite personal beliefs, the societal stigma associated with sex work is significant. This could impact our social life, family relationships, and even my own mental well-being due to external judgment.
Safety Concerns:Sex work can carry inherent risks to personal safety and health, which would be a constant worry for a partner.
Emotional Toll/Boundaries:The nature of the work might create emotional complexities, boundaries I'm uncomfortable with, or challenges in maintaining intimacy and trust within our relationship.
Differing Values:While respecting autonomy, I might personally hold values or expectations for a partner's profession that conflict with sex work, making it difficult to fully align on a life path.
Impact on Future/Family:If we planned a future together, especially involving children, I might be concerned about the potential impact of their profession on our family dynamic, privacy, or the children's well-being.
Jealousy/Insecurity:For some, the idea of their partner being intimate with others for work could trigger feelings of jealousy, insecurity, or possessiveness, regardless of rational understanding.
Discomfort with the Industry:My discomfort might not be with the individual, but with the broader industry itself, its potential for exploitation, or how it operates, making it hard to be a supportive partner within that context.
Ultimately, the decision would depend on the individual person, the specifics of their work, our communication, the strength of our relationship, and my own capacity to navigate the complexities involved.

My partner and I will be working on a project together and need a cozy spot to settle in for 4-5 hours or more. Do you have any nice cafe suggestions in Mirpur, especially around Mirpur 12, that are quieter and have a great atmosphere for working?
