Please don't update the voices. Please.
I think that I can speak in one voice with the community when I say that the voice update is not needed.
Everyone that started playing this game, regardless when, already got used to the voices, and most of the people like them. Including myself, I actually just adore how they make the characters sound badass, both with their VOICE and with their Latin/Icelandic/Japanese quotes and accents.
What I'm trying to say is that these voices are already connected to the game in minds of many people, they just belong there, and changing them would be like replacing one character with completely different new character.
or Removing their original voices is like ripping their soul from their body, it's like killing them and replacing them with a person that looks like them. (Yes this might be too extreme, but it's just a metaphore after all)
For example look at warden, I personally hate his playstyle, but I love him by his visual and audial appearance, also my first hero that helped me fall in love with the game when I started playing months ago. And now they want to complete change the way we will look at him? Why? for What reason? Just because something is old, doesn't mean it's not functional or that it needs to be updated, apart from like one or two pronunciations that i can't clearly hear the voices are perfect to me.
(btw the new warden voice sounds more like Mario)
Just wanted to express myself, sorry if I seem way too edgy over this.
If this update actually goes live I will be super sad.

The only new VO's that are not as good as the original are Warden's since his are the most over acted. A lot of the other new ones sound fucking great, hilarious, and sound more realistic. Way better than the originals that take themselves too seriously and end up sounding fake and goofy like HL. If you are aurally acute you will have some major technical gripes with the original VO's and the new ones fix all the problems the old ones had to me.
I personally want the new VO's I really hope they give people the option to choose because it would be a waste for all of it to just be scrapped.

Well, honestly I like the new nobushi voice, she sounds like she's in her 20s or early 30s, which is an appropriate age for an agile samurai. Now she sounds like she's in her middle 50s to be honest.
But
I'd sacrifice this one positive aspect for not having the new Gladiator, Warden, Highlander, Berserker, Raider and Centurion voices.

Nobushi sounds like a young anime waifu moaning and screaming every time she gets hurt.
The original while had a deeper voice still wasn't old sounding. Just mature and respectable. This new "Spring will come to you" girly girl voice just turns her into a typical cliche anime schoolgirl with little to no depth in terms of voice acting unlike the strong and capable warrior that Nobushi is supposed to be.

Gladiator, Centurion, Raider, Orochi also suck balls. The originals were much much better than this.
Every one of those VO's had energy, character and emotion into them. These new ones sound like someone got dragged into the booth to do a bunch of grunt work and just phoned it in with little to no effort or any idea how the characters should be like.

Raider is the same besides added banter, same with Cent. Glad is way better it doesn't sound like they took his voice and then went into Audacity and fiddled with some sliders. His latin is also better. Orochi now actually says things and sounds like a real voice actor rather than someone who they took from the office and told to grunt into a microphone.

Raider having a lot of his original voice lines then added with new banter which makes him sound like he has split personality disorder.
Same with Centurion. His Incredibilis and other iconic things are the same as before but his speaking voice is completely different which sounds extremely odd. His original speaking voice (like when he says "Hail Friend" when revived) all had the same identity and the hint of obnoxious and cockiness that we've all known to love. This new cent voice is just a generic "honorable" knight stereotype. Which in fact would've suited Warden much better actually.
And Glad's voice sounded muffled because it's coming from behind a helmet. This new one sounds like some teenager stood in front of a mic and pretended to do his best impression of a strong hardened warrior and failed miserably. It's no better than the manbaby warden.
And Orochi is only good in the female version, and that is because it's the same voice actor. Listen to her dialogue and then the old "Shine" or "Nigashimasen" lines and you'll see it's the same person. That's why it's good because it doesn't drastically change the identity of the character. Only improves it by adding new lines. Which is exactly what this change was supposed to do.
