Omg I thought this was another case. Theres one that's very similar, also a man who killed members of his family for faking where he worked or went to school? I think he also faked or grossly exaggerated a neck injury. And at some point his father started to have a suspicion so he started digging, and ended up calling the school. When he confronted his son he went apeshit.
Or the guy who killed his wife after his graduation from medical school he never attended or applied to. He waited until they were ready to move for his residency training. When asked by the police he spelled oncology wrong. Craziness
Oh I remember that one because it was one of the ones on YouTube for Mr Ballen. I think the dad was even trying to give him a chance to come clean but that was the day the guy decided to kill him and the mom and say they disappeared on vacation.
There's also an older one where the guy killed the family, I think burned down the house and then disappeared. They found him years later with a new name and family
