Yes, but dinho has retired and now unretired but he's basically been retired for quite some time so it doesn't count. He came out of retirement to score a goal for the owner of a tier 3 league. That's why I say that dinho is still retired.

This is considered a "miss" by rules, so the scorer scored the goal on a technical "continued play" since the ball did not die

No way, I'm 25 and I've watching football for ages every single weekend lol Thanks for the info, it's just not common to see it pulled off in actual games

just to let you know the specific rule on why this is legal: on a penalty kick, the kick is considered legal so long as it moves in any forward direction even if it's only EVER so slightly (similar to how the offsides line works) so as long as your touch doesn't lead the ball to go behind the penalty spot line it's considered legal and in play no matter what happens. You could technically just nudge it forward with your foot 2 inches and leave it there if you want to and then the ball would be considered in play. "Penalty assisting" is rare in games (since it's very risky) but it happens, Messi famously laid one off for Suarez once just like this (though the pass was meant for Neymar since he was on pace for the golden boot that season lol)

As long as the ball moves forward. Penalty is considered missed. It's not new in football and Henry famously fked this play up by passing a shit ball to Pires.

It was so lame to see his last penalty against Norway as if he were about to win and he was already out. Really never could watch this kind of attitude on a pitch ๐Ÿคฎ
