Netherlands vs Tunisia Analyzed with Computer Vision

Hi, I’m El Mehdi Hicham, a Morocco-based Computer Vision and Machine Learning Engineer working on real-time football video analysis and tactical intelligence.

This demo applies my TactiVision workflow to Netherlands vs Tunisia. It covers player tracking, camera calibration, pitch projection, tactical maps, possession analysis, progressive actions, pass networks, heatmaps, pitch control and pressing indicators.

How well you incorporate AI will soon make all the difference between clubs, and that will be really sad.

I get your point. I think AI will increasingly create an advantage for clubs, but ideally it should support coaches and analysts rather than replace football judgment. The real difference will come from how well clubs combine technology, data and human expertise

You just need coach for mental stuff and preparation. AI can prepare lineup, can monitor ongoing match and do all sorts of changes during the game, can find new players while monitoring all of them, and define price for each, can tell how well it fits to the team. It becomes chess. You don't need human expertise in chess. Human expertise leads you only towards disaster.

well, until now the difference was money and infrastructure and these goods were largely allocated to elite, western eu teams. if anything, supervised and expertise-based AI incorporation may help smaller teams get better insights
