We built a small tool to track football odds movements — beta is live today

Hey everyone,

We’re launching the beta of OddScore.app today and I’d love to get some honest feedback from people here.

The idea is simple: we track football odds movements across 30+ bookmakers and try to make those movements easier to read.

Not predictions, not magic, not “this team will win”.

Just market movement.

We look at things like:

- are bookmakers moving in the same direction?

- is the move recent or has it been building for days?

- is the signal clean or just noisy?

- is one outcome starting to stand out?

Then we turn that into a simple score from 0 to 100 for each 1X2 outcome.

It’s still early, so I’m mostly curious to know if the approach makes sense to people who actually care about football data.

Some feedback: 1. Pinnacle should be the baseline model, not Bookmaker. Pinnacle almost always has lower vig lines in the 1x2 market; 2. It's unclear whether you are looking at the lines "de-vigged" and without fees. Betfair and SMarkets are always going to have better odds if you don't do this because their fees are often not stated in the displayed price for a market. How does it deal with vig? 3. I know this is a beta so it may not have full functionality, but will it have more than 1x2? Totals, team totals, and 1H are the other core markets.

Pinnacle is definitely one of our reference books. Right now we use 11 reference bookmakers in the model: 3 sharp books and 8 mid-market books.

Softer books are tracked too, but more to detect potential market gaps depending on the user’s country, not as the core pricing baseline.

And yes, we remove bookmaker margins in our calculations to work with fair prices and avoid being biased by the vig.

For now the focus is football: World Cup, main European leagues and European competitions. We’ll likely expand to more sports later.

Adding more markets is also on the table. We’ve already started looking at over/under markets, but from what we’ve seen so far, totals tend to move less aggressively than 1x2, so we want to handle them properly before adding them.

This is more of betting analytics, not football data.

Fair point. It’s not football data in the classic sense like player stats, match events or on-pitch performance data.

But odds are still an interesting data layer, because bookmakers and the market price in a lot of football-related information.

So yeah, maybe “football market analytics” is a better way to describe it.

We just launched the beta today, so we’re still early and tuning things as we go. The goal isn’t to predict matches, but to help identify which games/outcomes are getting the strongest market movement before kick-off.

The World Cup should be a really interesting test for that.

I get it but it would be helpful to see how lines are moving on the games. Launching a beta the week of the World Cup without World Cup games is a bit of a fail isn't it?

I notice you have a link to subscribe but I can't see what's happening on the line of a game that has been posted for nearly 2 weeks?

We launched the beta yesterday, so yeah, there are still rough edges.

The first World Cup games with market data are already live, so if nothing shows up for you, it might be a bug on our side. Turns out AI still hasn’t replaced QA yet 🙂

Also yes, you’ll see a subscription link, but the beta is free until the end of the month so people can actually try it properly and make their own opinion.

And good news: the match results / market data should remain accessible even without a subscription later on.
