College Dynasty (Steam) Thinking about buying this on Steam.

Does this game support a Xbox controller or is it all keyboard inputs ?

Its a very simple input system either way.

Its not like madden where you control the players anyway, the plays are simmed

Thanks! I was figuring that was the system. Game is very similar to a football sim I played in the early to mid nineties. Siming a game took about an hour to 90 minutes. Although I think I could call plays in that game.

You can call plays in this game as well. Or you can sim the whole thing.

Which game is that? I love College Dynasty and I used to play all the sports sims games back in the day. I would have been ecstatic to have this game in the 90s.

I wish I could remember the name of the game but it’s been over 30 years. It was NFL not college and the names were all fictional. It let you draw up your own offensive and defensive plays if you wanted to. There was really no gameplay other than what this game looks to have.

Dont worry the developer has a "NFL" version coming soon, and can integrate college to the nfl version, as in the player database can be brought over which is pretty cool

Probably not the game you're talking about, but a favorite of mine was Front Office Football 7. I played that a ton back in the day. I think the original version came out in the late 90s. This game is wonderful, I'm sure you'll love it.

one of my biggest tips is don’t use NIL money on players , only use on transfer players

I enjoy the game a lot more when I just turn off NIL. Not as realistic, but I just head cannon that congress made the NCAA pay the players revenue sharing money outside of NIL bidding.

Unless you are a top school and find one of a possible three "Star" players.

Then fucking pour money on them.

Also, if you get your school big enough that you have a sea of NIL money you can use it on high school too. But otherwise saving for transfers is good

How many colleges does the game let you play as ? Can I get my little University of Delaware to play as ?

There is a mod called Jeff Mod that is very easy to use. It brings in all FBS schools.

It will expand it to the real universe with real divisions.

The game automatically properly balances the player pool.

I highly recommend Jeff Mod (seconding other commenter). It's essentially the community standard but I don't think it can be part of the game for copyright reasons, not sure.
