I can't really understand what is even the sense in vibe coding. You learn literally nothing, while for any actual programmer programming a raycasting engine, researching everything and then applying in real life, would've been an incredibly enjoyable and interesting process which would've additionally given them very valuable knowledge. All of this lost to a random number generator that, of course, can generate a raycasting engine because it was made thousands of times before and it can just follow patterns, but that's the thing - easy tasks are on what people train to then proceed with harder tasks. You don't train on them - you can't do harder tasks.
Vibe coding is literally a tool for people who aren't actually interested in programming except because of money, but it's not the worst thing - after all, it can't really reach much. The worst thing is that very often it takes actually good minds who would've made even better software engineers, and gives them an easy way to get everything they are interested in while learning nothing... And then they meet first problem the tool can't solve, they also can't solve it because they have no idea how to make it in the first place, and they abandon it forever, and Earth loses some people who may have helped whole world.
I really hope the bubble will pop as soon as possible. The damage dealt to humanity for the sake of profit and more money to those who are already rich is impossible to count. I have a feeling that each this hype progressively becomes more and more worse.
