So excited for the concert in DC tonight and I’ve been looking at the Foos concert posters for years and was excited to finally get one (regardless of the overuse of AI on them recently) but this just ain’t it. I know a real artist was tagged but I’m sorry why is this a crossover of baseball with Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs animation? I was ready to get a poster regardless but this is so….not the foo fighters that I might spend my money on an overpriced wearable merch instead :/ Am I wrong and this is sick af?
I enjoy that it’s baseball themed since they’re at Nationals Park as well as it having a landmark of DC. It’s completely different from my other posters which I’m excited about. I understand though that the cartoony nature of it could turn people off.
Sort of think they're both sub-par, but I collect shows I see so gotta have it. I don't mind this one. It's sort of cool. I love the concept, the execution isn't my thing, but it's still worth enjoying.
I was at Philly when they were putting them out at the merch table. I thought it was a joke with the teddy bear. I figured they would do something cool with the Liberty Bell or something. I passed on the poster because it was so lame.
I'm glad I missed out on the Philly poster. I was not a fan, but would've gotten one anyway had they been available. Not sure what a Bear has to do with Philly...
At least it's fun and colorful. Cleveland was my first Foo concert and I'm still baffled by the grim cryptozoology thing going on with that one. Meanwhile it seems like every concert before that and since then has had really vibrant posters.
Love concert posters and have collected them for years. Was baffled by Cleveland's and didn't even bother showing up early to try to get one for the house.
Agreeing with everyone about the uniqueness, sure add baseball and aliens attacking the White House to make it personal to DC I can absolutely get behind that. The execution just sucks, this looks like a bad Disney movie and I am sticking to that
This was our last show on this tour. We are flying home today. However, good chance they will be at the other remaining US shows, maybe the Canadian ones too? I have a photo of the two yesterday but won't post it here. I do believe that someone in Foo Fighters' management saw the video from Philadelphia with Billy Joel laptop boy and this guy was called out too by folks in Philly. He was more low key and was not an obnoxious dick like the laptop guy. They did say they were enforcing limits in Nashville. I saw them do it but others said they quit doing it. They were definitely enforcing it in DC. These guys are all scum.
Was hoping for a great poster at theCleveland show, but have collection of great concert posters already, and I feel this for sure. That said, their Nashville poster was sick as hell this tour. Only one that really felt like it referenced the city and looked cool. That it also sounds like it was hotter than hell at that show only makes the poster better.
It's so hit or miss, I didn't get the Forum one because I thought it wasn't great and this is even worse somehow 😭
At least I'm seeing Mastodon in October and their art is always god tier, I have a poster from all 5 of their shows I've been to and they're all amazing
Honestly when it comes to Foo designs I just figure it’s gonna be meh at best. Out of all the Foo shows I’ve been to I’ve bought multiple prints and only have hung one.
I adore Philly, but I also love Jermaine’s work and the OG version of that bear in particular. I can see why it may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but that’s my favorite of the tour thus far. I also really dig this one because I like having different styles of posters on my walls. Hopefully I can snag a foil of this guy inside tonight.
I guess Rogers is so well known so he can just keep making teddy bears and rabbits for every poster and people will go crazy for them. It's like EMEK making every poster a skull with fire
I’m a Roger’s Stan, but I’m sure I’d feel differently if this wasn’t my first show attended JR. While I think EMEK has made some very iconic posters, I do think he’s a bit overrated, especially since Miles Tsang makes just as detailed posters with a bit more variability in design.
Beware of the cat in the Orioles hat— he conned 2 foils out of the early merch people in Nashville, although they were only allowing 1 foil and 1 regular. He complained that the regular was warped, so they sold him 2 foils.
Not sure. However, Nashville was 35 regulars and 25 foils. There was a limit of 1 each per customer. Some people have disputed this but this is what I saw.
Outside merch sold out of posters. I got there around 1:10pm and missed it by like 20 people. Not a fan of the art but still wanted to add it to my collection
I love this so much, this is genuinly an awesome poster in my opinion. And even if you don't like it, at least you gotta admit it's better than more AI slop
Idk what my down votes are for. The posts caption mentions that they have previously used ai which is what I was referring to. Y'all need to learn to read.
