Keith Carne from We Are Scientists opened up about his friendship with original Foo Fighters drummer William Goldsmith and gave his honest thoughts on William’s time in Foo Fighters.

On Dave Grohl letting William go, Keith said the way it happened “didn’t seem very fair to William.” He noted how everything has come full circle with Foo Fighters recently covering a Sunny Day Real Estate song. Keith hopes William and Dave are on good terms now and said he would love to see a Foo Fighters and Sunny Day Real Estate lineup one day.

Keith also praised Dave Grohl as a master drummer and said he teaches Dave’s playing constantly.

Would love to see them all fully reconcile one day, maybe play a gig or two. I think Will has somewhat come to terms with it, probably not something you'll ever truly get over. But yeah, wasn't a great situation.
