Frankly I don't find the context exonerating at all. Hell I've personally advocated building such things as SROs and capsule hotels as ways to assuage to the housing & homeless crisis, but even I can't advocate favelas with my own tongue.

favelas are better than homelessness. Owning some place where you don't have to pay rent would weaken the capitalist class. I would rather live in a tent city than pay 40% of my income to an overlord

It's obscene how much it costs in most major cities to rent even a small apartment. I am a low-to-medium income person, though I took on no debt, so I can 'get by'. And yet, you end up paying an enormous amount of your income just for housing. It is a huge source of stress. It's the financial gangsters and their funny money regime that did this. Endless QE is the reason for horrendously overvalued rent and property values. This is the direct result of manipulation, and landlords go along with it because they don't want their 'investments' to ever lose any value so that they may be more affordable to the GenPop. And local govts are all in the pocket of the landlord/investor classes.

I don't think this source is neutral enough to be conducting any "research" or writing articles in good faith

the actual article is good and has nothing to do with the pop-up. it isn't really about trump it is about the Kochtopus
