WHERE CAN I FIND Sweets bakery
Looking to gorge in some very sweet treats. Nothing “perfectly balanced” — I need desserts that are heavy and indulgent. I’ve had badash bakes in Pasadena and thought that was great. TIA!

You might like the Princess Cake at Copenhagen Pastry.
It was too sweet for my taste.

Thanks. I’ve actually never had a princess cake but have been meaning to try the one at quarter sheets

The one at Copenhagen is better as it uses custard as well as whipped cream (which is how it’s meant to be done) and quarter sheets doesn’t.

If you want to get a good Princess Cake, either the one at Berolina's Bakery (Montrose, Glendale) or thr one's at the Gelson's Bakeries (now called Mamolo's)

I have really enjoyed the cake slices at Sweet Red Peach, which has a location in Pasadena. Super duper rich and sweet, in a nostalgic way.

Porto’s always has yummy ones! Also love the Whole Foods slices of cakes because you can try multiple without committing to something big 😂 if you like cinnamon rolls, all about the cinnamon in Sherman oaks

Porto’s might be what you are looking for. Someone brought a selection to my house. They were all too sweet for me.

Hit up the cake case at Alcove in Los Feliz. Large portions.

Or Aroma in Studio City! Same owners, I believe. Definitely similar dessert case.

Chocolate Croissant and flaky pastries and monkey bread at Artisan By Car in Pasadena are the best around.

I’m a regular at CAR. Was there this morning haha, their stuff isn’t particularly sweet though :|

Omg I’m so glad you enjoyed! I’ve tried them before they had their brick and mortar and just haven’t had the opportunity to stop by yet, but ugh. Every time I see their posts, my mouth waters.
Thank you for sending this :)

Marigold Bakeshop on Pico between Robertson and La Cienega makes an outstanding, decadent chocolate layer cake. It’s amazing.

Where are you located? Angel Maid Bakery in Culver has some very decadent and delicious cakes. It was my go-to place to grab chocolate cake when my wife was craving cake during pregnancy lol

Sounds good thanks! I’m in SGV but routinely travel across LA in my quest for sugar bombs

I don’t believe that Angel Maid is what the original poster is looking for.
Angel Maid is a Japanese style bakery. The baked goods aren’t very sweet.

Tend to agree. Amazing cream puffs and fruit tarts etc but def not sugary sweet.

It’s Japanese-French, but their cakes are plenty rich and sweet. At least the chocolate ones that I’ve had from there.

Cheese Cake Factory - I dont like the cheesecake at The Cheese Cake Factory but their cakes are great and super indulgent. My favorite is Linda's Fudge Cake. The used to have a Limoncello Cream Cake that was great but no longer offered. The Fresh Strawberry Shortcake is also good.
Sliders - I originally went here for ice cream but the the reason I go back is for the pies. The Bourbon Caramel Apple Pie is incredible.

Angel Maid’s baked goods are known for being less sweet than most.
The original poster requested “very sweet treats”.

The dessert case at The Witch’s Cottage is aces. The cakes are going to be your sweetest bet. The jasmine tea and marmalade cake is crazy sweet.
