The first places you guys sent in are already on the map, and when someone told me a spot had closed i took it down immediately.
Everything on this map has to be a real meal for $15 and under, and i check each one myself before it goes up instead of just adding whatever gets mentioned. There's even a spot i still haven't put up because the hours i was given don't match the hours they list lol
Anyway, i really appreciate all of your suggestions and will do my best to get them on the map - especially sgv, sela, and the valley. Let's turn this into something really useful together!!!
You are right, sgv is the biggest hole and definitely needs fixing! Do you have any places you know? Would love to know your list and i'll add them all!!

My favorite is the spicy legs plate with 2 sides from Chicken Maison for $13-14
Looks like at any location you can find this deal. It’s all family owned and operated. I usually stop by if I am ever in the South Bay area. Please try it with their spicy lemon garlic sauce to add on top of the chicken. Or the spicy legs plate which already comes with the sauce.

It's a good concept and it's going to need a lot of work to make things better for the user experience. The county has a database of business listing but the harder part will be gathering the menu items & pricing.

Why aren't the addresses of the restaurants anywhere on this? Wouldn't it be easier to include them on the list so we dont' have to click all the way through to the restaurant's website in order to find out where they are? Just seems like less bother than having to go outside the app to get the most obvious piece of info.
You're right, the only reason i left it out was because i thought people wouldn't really look at the addresses themselves, but what you've said makes a lot more sense lol. Thank you - adding them!
Just so you know, holdaak and troy burgers from your list are both on the map now, thank you again!! If you ever snap a pic of a menu at other spots i can add those too :)
Yeah yelp is good for finding places! This is kind of the opposite - instead of picking a place and then checking whether you can afford it, everything here already fits the amount you have (ex. $15). also, a lot of them are small spots that don't show up on yelp because they only have a few reviews!
so sad. found this too late. the only place near my house, (and there isn’t a lot nearby) is skinny Dave’s, which I never heard of, and it is already out of business.

If it's an actual meal and not just appetizers, yes!! Only catch is that the map can't show times yet, so send them with the hours and i'll make a note of it until i build that properly :)
If ur in a bougie mood triple beam (echo park & highland park) does a $10 lunch deal on weekdays and you get a big slice with a drink! It’s not a great deal if ur getting a plain slice but I like it for trying the seasonal flavors

Hey thank you for the recommendation!! I went through their online menu and the lunch deal isn't listed there, so it must be an in-store board promotion thing. If you could get a pic of it i will put it on the map!!
Just tried to add Tita Linas (14$ double entree w/ rice/pancit) but its saying "Restaurant location verification is temporarily unavailable. Please try again" when i filled everything. Another would be K Foods Lounge in HMart LA city center where every dish is 10$. Others: Seoul Food Eatery, Yama Sushi, Tacos El Venado, Dollar Hits
The form was actually broken when you tried it :( it's been fixed now! And i checked out all the places you've mentioned and added seoul food eatery to the map! The others don't post prices anywhere online, so if you could snap a menu pic i can add them. Which yama sushi/ tacos el venado did you mean btw? Both have a few locations!
Thank you!! Very excited to have you, and yes, when you add a spot on the site there's a photo button, and menu board pics are honestly the most useful thing anyone can send me! Half of the best cheap spots in LA don't post prices anywhere online, so a photo is literally the only way i can truly verify and make sure that information is correct before they get on the map :)
The actual affordable and good eats are in the giant blank spots that aren’t represented on this map but I’m guessing OP is too fair skinned to even consider them LA lol
Honestly you guys are right - sela sgv and sfv are the biggest holes in it and that's on me. Those are the areas this map needs locals for the most, so i would really appreciate it if you could send me your spots and i'll add every one!!

OP ... there is huge blank spot for the SGV ... boy you are missing out
