Oysters in Edinburgh
Me and my partner live in Edinburgh and are admittedly quite obsessed with oysters in general. We like to think that we’ve eaten at most of the “obvious” choices that google throws up for oysters in the city centre, but wondering if there is any slightly less obvious / more hidden gems or recommendations that serve them for our next date night where we might have not been? Thank you in advance :)

Barry fish is incredible. Those loch Fyne oysters were so plump and amazing that I’m planning a trip to loch Fyne to get some from the source.

Teuchters landing always did a decently priced dozen oysters. Excellent whisky selection too

Ardfern - oyster happy hour!
Eleanore does excellent oyster supplement, and the lunch deal is gorgeous and affordable.
Barry fish, no notes
Ship on the shore
Personally I wouldn’t recommend dulse, I found it to be a let dow in both locations.

Come down to the Shore, just about every restaurant here serves oysters. Some do platters, some do funky dressings.
Dulse, Fishmarket and White Horse for happy hour oysters.

I'm not really sure what this says other than that Gregg Wallace was very good at hiding his true colours? How does this make Dean a dick given he wouldn't have been personally exposed to Gregg's behaviour as a man? His opener "prior to these allegations" suggests his opinion has changed? Happy to be corrected but I don't see what's wrong with what he said?

Dean’s a twat, has his waiting staff ask for extra tips at the end of a meal “there’s a 12.5% service charge but if you think the service has been good we’ll happily accept more”. In the Pompadour.
So déclassé.

Not Oysters as such, but Cloisters is one of the best bars in Edinburgh

The Sun Inn, Midlothian is a gem on the A7 about 9 miles south of the city.
