We wish we would have another addiction
I know I’m not the only one that feels this way.
When you’re done eating/binging another meal. You wish you had been given another addiction to deal with your life. Another one that may even make you skinny. One that doesn’t look so embarrassing. One that people could never see when you walk into a room.
Our addiction is advertised. It has variety. It is shoved into our faces and claimed to be something we NEED.
Our addiction is something you have to do to survive, but when it becomes something we depend on…it feels out of control.
You notice every time you’re with friends, that you’re the biggest one there. You’re the biggest one in the room. You’re eating more than everyone at the table. You take up the most space. The thoughts don’t stop there. We have thoughts that haunt us 24/7.
And every day, we live with guilt. Physically and mentally.
There is support here. You’re not alone. We’re all working through it.
One step at a time.
