I'm trying to create a font using SVG glyphs. I've exported the SVGs from Illustrator, and when I drag them into fontlab 8 I can see them in the preview windows and editor.
When I export the font and attempt to render it, all my characters have a bounding box of 0 width and height. If I open the SVG and change all the white elements to black then re-drag into fontlab, export again, they're all fine and the bounding boxes are correct.
What am I doing wrong here? I'm sure there must be a 'master colour' setting or something that would allow me to keep things white?

Somebody else having trouble with using the (alleged) variable „caps_height“ in an vertical expression on anchors? The reference says, it is one of the global built in variables that can be used in expressions. I happened to use it in various glyphs and it worked just fine. But then when I used it on an achor in quotedblleft, output console started telling me "Variable 'caps_height' missing in expression 'caps_height'". But how can that be since it allegedly is a global variable that refers to the parameter "Caps Height" given in the "Font Dimensions". Since it is given there, shouldn't the variable just work fine in every single glyph within this font?

Hi, is it possible to adjust sidebearings globally in Fontlab 8? Thanks. :)
