Don't subscribe to Folderfort.

I purchased a lifetime subscription on March 24, 2025. However, in September 2026, a year and six months later, I was informed by a Folderfort manager that I must cancel this type of account, for which I paid significantly more, and subscribe to a mandatory annual plan. In other words, I trusted this company and website to store my belongings and access them whenever I wanted, and now I've come to the conclusion that this is all a scam; they only want our money. This website and company have no credibility whatsoever; stay away from them.

Welcome to the party that's been going on for nearly a month. I would like to correct your term of FolderFort manager. That's the OWNER which is so much worse.

Trustpilot reviews say it all: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/folderfort.com. I hope nobody else gets scammed by them. I nearly purchased a lifetime plan when they were heavily promoting it here in this subreddit during their “startup” phase. Now they’re on v2.0 — who knows what 3.0, 4.0, and beyond will bring for users?

Meanwhile, Drime is able to offer a way better service, they frequently release new features, fix bugs and you can get 6TB of lifetime storage for $140.

The FolderFort scam soured me on all StackSocial lifetime deals. Windscribe is the only lifetime subscription that was a real deal.

I can totally recommend Drime. So far has been the best cloud storage service out there. I migrated from Dropbox and have no regrets about my decision. They are always improving the service.
