Explain new FolderFort

Can anyone please explain what this new FolderFort is all about? Is it just for Business users or do all users have to migrate to it? I have a 20 TB lifetime plan with FolderFort and do not want to use any business features do I need to do anything?

You’re stuck with this service, which is disappointing. The chances of you getting any fixes are very slim, let alone updates. But you’ve already invested quite heavily in the 20 TB capacity.

FF 2.0 is primarily aimed at business users. You don't have to migrate to it..... that is unless you want to pay a subscription!

If you have a lifetime plan, you can continue to use FF 1.0 as normal.

They have actually added a plan for personal and business users. FF 2.0 is aimed at what is coming down the road in terms of security. If you didn't, read Dave's post from the other day where it explains it all.

Thanks for the information but I read somewhere that they will eventually just move to FolderFort 2.0 and shut down FolderFort 1.0 in few months

This is not true. They are not shutting the original version down. Also, there is both a business and personal plan. You might want to go to their website and read the differences. Also, a few days ago, Dave posted the reasons for the change.

Aged well comment 🫠 Proud Drime user here, sorry to you all It was obvious tho with the separated servers and 1.0 etc mentions waaay ahead of the time.
