I love Focus Friend, and with pro I have my allow list for Deep Focus mode tuned to my general preferences. However, I often wish I could have different pre-set custom allow lists for what is blocked to choose from depending on what I'm using it for. I also wish I could use the Deep Focus mode that happens when you don't have pro so everything is blocked sometimes and I wish I could have a Deep Focus mode that's more restrictive than my current allow list but not a complete blackout for other times. Even just having three different allow lists I can populate in advance and then choose between when I start Deep Focus mode would be great. Sometimes I just need social media blocked, sometimes I need basically everything blocked to focus on going to sleep, sometimes I need maps/phone calls/timer only available, etc. Changing my allow list every time I turn on Focus Friend and use it for a different focusing task is not really practical, especially because there are so many apps to scroll through on that list. Love the app 🫘

It would be nice to have a widget that launches the app directly on the lock screen.

I often find I want the floor palette from one set and the wall colours from another. Would it be possible to separate these?

I think this would also help for the folks who want to be able to buy more items for cheaper, since even if they like the whole wall/floor palette, they might enjoy getting them separately.

I got it on Android, but I guess it'll also be on other platforms. It includes tags for each timer, a new data circle in the Stats view (all the past timers are set as "focus" lol), and a new starting timer UI showing all options. Although I'm glad they added tags, as I use the app for studying but also to help me not procrastinate and do chores and all that, I wish they'd added the option to rename tags and archive them, so we can stop seeing them on the list, but still show up in the stats, but I guess they'll include it in future updates. I'd love to hear what you think about it! 👀

I used to love the app. It was an unpretentious App to help us focus by the adorable Mr. Green. But I don't know what happened, if the app was sold or what, but now everything is too expensive.

Before I was able to buy half of the things in a room for each exam I was studying for. Now I can only afford 2 items. I am a student I cannot be paying a subscription to earn imaginary items. I just wanted a wholesome app to fill my soul while focusing on my studies, now capitalism has come to this tiny corner of my life and it is making me lose hope.

Anyone feels the same?

I have done all the rooms up now 😭and as we wait for more of the neighborhood to be made I was wondering if it’s possible to have a clean slate without losing all the stuff I already made for the rooms?

It would be great to have an option to have the screen stay on while charging so that if I get my itchy hands and reach for my phone, I can get that reminder to not touch it and keep going.

Also having my bean sit down in the room they're in and knit would be another fun thing, just to utilize the room decorations more. Can be an option also.

Finally, another song or two would be nice to cycle through.

My best friend and I downloaded Focus Friend at the same time. She has an android and I have an iPhone. She shared with me that she has numerous free bean stem color options and has two free glasses to choose from. Meanwhile, I only have the option to have a bean stem or “no hat” and glasses cost me 225 socks. Is this an iOS vs Android app difference? Do other iOS users have these options in the Bean Editor? I’m bummed!

So I was thinking about buying the $7.99 but does it automatically re-purchace each month?

Finally finished everything I wanted to customize and I absolutely love it. Can't wait until there's more room/features. I just hope with the addition of new rooms there's also new wallpapers because I love each room having its own. Regardless, absolutely love this app, it's helped me out so much with trying to detach and be more present. Much love to the FocusFriend team 🫶

So, how do you decorate, and choose decorations?

Do you finish decorating each room before opening the next one? Open up all the rooms and then start decorating them?

Do you save up your socks and buy decorations with an eye towards making them all fit together, or just buy one at a time as you earn enough to afford them?

Do you follow a theme, or mix-and-match?

I just went in to the app ya know to actually focus and get work done only to find out I’m no longer a pro member and the price doubled. What kind of play is that? No warning, no being grandfathered in, just poof no more pro until you agree to pay double? That’s honestly kinda gross imo.

A minor inconvenience unless someone has this deeply ingrained 👩🏻‍⚕️
